Planning ahead, anticipating the worst, and crossing your fingers are all part of traveling with children, especially when you're flying. My family and I decided to take a flight with Frontier Airlines CLT Terminal from Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) for our most recent trip to Florida in the hopes of having a convenient and reasonably priced flight. We knew that Frontier could be a fantastic option with the correct preparation, but we had also heard all the typical things about it, such as cheap tickets, pay-as-you-go services, and simple seating. We completed our homework by paying for our one checked bag in advance, choosing seats so that we could all sit together, checking in online, and packing only personal belongings. We were pleasantly surprised as soon as we got to CLT. The Frontier check-in area was easy to locate, and the kiosks made it a breeze to print boarding passes and tag our bag without waiting in a long line. Security moved at a steady pace, and the TSA agents were patient with the kids. Once we got through, the terminal was clean, relatively calm, and offered just enough food and coffee options to keep everyone satisfied. The gate area wasn’t overly crowded, and the staff made clear announcements about boarding and policies — including reminders about carry-on size, which helped avoid any confusion. Boarding was organized, and we appreciated that families with young children were invited to board early. Onboard, the seats were basic but clean, and the flight attendants were courteous throughout. While Frontier may not offer entertainment screens or complimentary snacks, what they did provide was a reliable, no-fuss flight that got us to our destination on time and without stress. For our family, that’s exactly what we needed — and we’d definitely consider flying Frontier Airlines Charlotte Terminal again.
